App Permissions
Camera & Photos — used if you upload a profile image or post photo.
Bluetooth — future versions may use Bluetooth for proximity-based discovery; data will not leave your device without consent.
Notifications — to alert you to messages or updates (can be disabled anytime).

Third-Party Tools and SDKs
Firebase — authentication, analytics, and crash reporting.
Formspree — contact and waitlist form handling.
Affiliate partners — CruiseDirect, Shore Excursions Group, and others for booking links.

Retention & Security
We retain data as long as necessary for the purposes above and secure it using industry-standard measures. No system is 100% secure, but we actively safeguard your information.

Your Choices
Update profile info in-app or via support.
Opt out of non-essential emails via unsubscribe.

Data Access and Deletion
You can request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing support [at] deckmateapp [dot] com. We verify your identity and process requests within 30 days as required by law.

Delete Your Account
To delete your DeckMate™ account and all associated data, email support [at] deckmateapp [dot] com with the subject line “Delete My DeckMate Account.”
We’ll verify your identity and permanently delete your profile, posts, messages, and account details within 30 days. Backups and security logs may be retained for up to 30 days for fraud prevention and legal compliance before being purged.
You can also request partial data deletion (for example, a post or photo) without closing your account by contacting the same email.

For European and California Users
If you live in the EEA or California, you have rights under GDPR and CCPA including:
Access, correction, or deletion of your data.
Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information.
Data portability.

Children
DeckMate™ is not directed to children under 18. If we learn a user under 18 has created an account, we’ll delete it promptly.

International Users
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own.
